Power Grid pays final dividend of Rs 574.53 crore for FY'25 to Govt

Power Grid has present a final dividend cheque of Rs 574.53 crore for FY 2024-25 to Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in New Delhi on Tuesday

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Power, paid Rs 574.35 crore as final dividend for FY 2024-25 to Ministry of Power. With this, the total dividend (including interim dividends) paid by Power Grid for FY 2024-25 to Government of India amounts to Rs 297.40 crore.

A cheque was presented to the Uion Minister of Power Manohar Lal Khattar by Power Grid's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) RK Tyagi in the presence of Directors of Power Grid.

As of 31st August 2025, Power Grid has commissioned and is operating 286 Sub-stations and more than 1,80,864 ckm transmission lines and 5,77,331 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, Power Grid has been able to maintain an average transmission system availability of more than 99.84 percent.
