REC Limited organized ‘Bijli Utsav’ in Goner village, Jaipur, Rajasthan on August 2 as a part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations

New Delhi: As a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ – to celebrate 75 years of Independence, REC Limited organised ‘Bijli Utsav’ in Goner village, Jaipur, Rajasthan on August 2.

The program was attended by Meena Patwa, Sarpanch; K C Sharma, Superintending Engineer; JVVNL; Manoj Gupta, Executive Engineer, JVVNL; and other local representatives.

The event witnessed various cultural program of school students highlighting Energy conservation, consumer rights, and challenges faced during electrification in remote areas, and how the quality of life improved with access to power.

Beneficiaries from the villages were also invited to share their experience and views on how electricity had transformed their lives.

The event concluded with the distribution of LED bulbs to the beneficiaries.
