NMDC celebrates 77th Independence Day

NMDC Limited celebrated 76 illustrious years of Indian Independence by hoisting the national flag on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day

New Delhi: NMDC Limited celebrated 76 illustrious years of Indian Independence by hoisting the national flag on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day at the company's headquarters in Hyderabad and all its project sites with great fervour. NMDC CMD (Additional Charge) Amitava Mukherjee along with Zailabuddin, senior most employee at Head Office unfurled the tricolour at the NMDC Corporate Office at Hyderabad in the presence of functional directors of NMDC, Dilip Kumar Mohanty, Director (Production); Vishwanath Suresh, Director (Commercial); Vinay Kumar, Director (Technical), B Vishwanath, Chief Vigilance Officer, Senior Officials and employees.

On this occasion Mukherjee said, “It is a matter of unmatched pride and honour that NMDC has been there for close to seven out of these eight decades of India’s making. The theme of this Independence Day - “Nation First, Always First,” has been our core value for 65 years. We have made a steely resolve to achieve in the next five years as much as we have done in the past six decades by enhancing our production from 40 MnT to 100 MnT. In this journey to measure up to our entire history in the next five years, we will also ensure the realization of ambitious projects in our pipeline.”

NMDC had organised a Mega Chess Tournament for school children during Har Ghar Tiranga Week. The winners of the Chess competition and the winners of the internal games organised for employees and associates were felicitated today by the CMD, Functional Directors, CVO, Chaitali Mukherjee, President, Mineral Eves’ Club, Lipi Mohanty, Babita Kumari and B Aruna.
