Q3 FY'23: Balmer Lawrie net profit up by 87.66% to 51.38 crore

The net profit during the quarter increased by 87.66 percent to Rs 51.38 crore compared to Rs 27.38 crore for the corresponding period last year

New Delhi: Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a Miniratna PSU with diversified business portfolios, has announced the third quarter results as per the accounts adopted for the quarter ending December 31, 2023. The results were approved by the board in its meeting held in Kolkata on Thursday.

The total net income for the third quarter registered a growth of 14.69 percent quarter to quarter and stood at Rs 590.13 crore as compared to the same period last year. The profit before tax (PBT) increased by 79.30 percent and rose to Rs 66.60 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 as compared to Rs 37.14 crore for the same period last year.

Correspondingly, the net profit (PAT) during the quarter increased by 87.66 percent to Rs 51.38 crore compared to Rs. 27.38 crore for the corresponding period last year.

The net income for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2023 stood at Rs 1,787.46 crore, an increase of 3.35 percent over Rs 1,729.51 crore in the corresponding period last year. Profit before tax (PBT) for the nine-month period increased and stood at Rs 200.45 crore as compared to Rs 126.66 crore in the same period last year.
