RailTel bags Rs 68 crore order from Jammu Smart City Ltd, shares jump 3.80 percent

RailTel has received a Rs 68-cr order from Jammu Smart City Limited for a Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre for ICCC

New Delhi: RailTel has bagged a major work order worth nearly Rs 68 crore from Jammu Smart City Limited, the company informed the stock exchanges in a regulatory filing on Friday. The contract is for the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and operations and maintenance of Data Centre and Disaster Recovery Centre for Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) for Jammu Smart City Limited, RailTel said.

The work order has the implementation timeline of nine months and the duration of the contract is 36 months, according to the regulatory filing.

RailTel shares jump nearly 3 percent

RailTel shares closed at Rs 218 on Friday, up 3.80 percent in comparison to the previous day. RailTel Corporation, a Mini Ratna (Category-I) PSU, is one of the largest neutral telecom infrastructure providers in the country owning a pan-India optical fibre network.
