RailTel partners with Microsoft to drive AI transformation in Govt sector

RailTel has announced a five-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to revolutionize artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in the Government sector

New Delhi: RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has announced a five-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to revolutionize artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in the government sector. This collaboration is set to establish an AI Center of Excellence (CoE) and position RailTel as a leading AI-driven systems integrator while contributing significantly to India’s Digital India mission.

The partnership encompasses a comprehensive skilling initiative under Microsoft’s AI National Skills Initiative and Enterprise Skilling Initiative, designed to upskill RailTel employees in cutting-edge digital, cloud, and AI technologies. RailTel and Microsoft will jointly develop AI solutions, with the tech giant providing technical guidance to shape product roadmaps.

RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar emphasized the transformative potential of the collaboration. He said, "By leveraging Microsoft's expertise in cloud, productivity, and AI, coupled with RailTel’s resources, we aim to drive innovation and efficiency across public sector entities. The AI Center of Excellence will help us deliver advanced solutions, fulfilling the evolving needs of our customers while advancing the Government of India's Digital India mission."

Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella also highlighted the significance of this partnership during his recent keynote address in New Delhi, addressing industry leaders from various sectors of the Indian economy.
