RECPDCL hands over NERGS-I power transmission SPV to Techno Electric

RECPDCL has transferred ownership of NERGS-I Power Transmission Limited to Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited on Tuesday

New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has transferred the ownership of 'NERGS-I Power Transmission Limited' to Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited. RECPDCL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power.

According to an official statement from REC, RECPDCL has handed over 'NERGS-I' Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) during a ceremony held on Tuesday.

The SPV was established to develop a new 400 kV switching station at Bokajan in Assam and manage the loop-in and loop-out (LILO) of both circuits of the Misa – New Mariani 400 kV D/c line at Bokajan. Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited secured the project through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process, which was coordinated by RECPDCL.

The official handover was conducted by RECPDCL's CEO TSC Bosh to Dinesh Parikh, General Manager (Commercial) of Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited, in the presence of senior officials from RECPDCL, Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India Limited, and Techno Electric.
