RECPDCL hands over Tumkur-II REZ Power Transmission to successful bidder

New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over a project specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) viz, Tumkur-II REZ Power Transmission Limited to GR Infraprojects Limited (GRIL) on September 3 at Gurugram.

GRIL, which emerged as the transmission service provider (TSP), in a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process conducted by RECPDCL, for development of transmission project on build, own, operate & transfer (BOOT) basis.

The project covers establishment of 400/220 kV, 4X500 MVA pooling station near Tumkur, Karnataka and 27.2 Kms of 400 kV line along with associated works.

RECPDCL CEO TSC Bosh handed over the SPV to GRIL's Head (Business Development & Strategy) Saurabh Kaushik in the presence of senior officials of RECPDCL, GRIL and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The project is targeted for implementation in 24 months.
