Gurugram: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, handed over the project-specific Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), formed for the construction of Transmission Project viz, KPS1 Transmission Limited to Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited on April 20, said the company in a statement.
Highlighting the bidding process, REC said, "Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited has been the successful bidder of the Inter-State Transmission Project of the Ministry of Power and RECPDCL was the Bid Process Coordinator. The selection of Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd was carried out through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) for the selection of Transmission Service providers in line with the Standard Bidding Documents and Guidelines thereof as notified by the Ministry of Power."
Commenting on the nature of the project, REC commented, "The work involves the implementation of KPS1-Khavda PS GIS (KPS2) 765 kV double circuit line and augmentation of Khavda PS1. The project for implementation is targeted in 21 months. With the handing over of the above SPV, RECPDCL successfully handed over 52 transmission projects now costing around Rs 70,974 crores."
The SPV has been handed over by Rahul Dwivedi, IAS, CEO, RECPDCL to Pravin Sharad Dixit, Vice President, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd in the presence of PS Hariharan, CGM, RECPDCL, Chandrakala, Company Secretary, MEIL, Deepak Krishnan, Manager, CTUIL and other senior officials of RECPDCL, MEIL and CTUIL.
