RITES, in consortium, secures Rs 79.22 crore share in Patna Metro consultancy contract

According to RITES, the contract has been awarded by Patna Metro Rail Corpfor providing consultancy services for the implementation of the project

New Delhi: Engineering consultancy and transport infrastructure company RITES Limited has secured a major consultancy assignment in consortium for the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project, with the company's share of the contract valued at approximately Rs 79.22 crore (excluding GST).

In a regulatory filing, RITES said the contract has been awarded by Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited for providing consultancy services for the implementation of the Patna Metro Rail Construction Project. The project has been awarded by a domestic entity and will be executed over a period of 68 months.

The consultancy assignment is expected to support the timely execution and effective implementation of the Patna Metro project, a key urban transport initiative aimed at enhancing public mobility and easing traffic congestion in Bihar's capital city. Through its role in the consortium, RITES will leverage its expertise in project management and railway infrastructure consultancy to contribute to the development of the metro network.
