RITES secures $3.6 million locomotive supply order from Zimbabwe firm

RITES Limited has secured an international order worth USD 3.6 million for the supply of in-service Cape Gauge diesel electric locomotives

New Delhi: State-owned transport infrastructure consultancy and engineering firm RITES Limited has secured an international order worth USD 3.6 million for the supply of in-service Cape Gauge diesel electric locomotives, the company said in a regulatory filing on Monday.

The order has been awarded by Berhard Development Corporation (Private) Limited, Zimbabwe, and involves the supply of diesel electric locomotives suited for Cape Gauge operations. The contract is to be executed within a period of three months.

RITES clarified that the order has been received from an international entity and does not fall under related party transactions. The company also stated that neither its promoter nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding entity.
