RVNL bags Rs 95.27 crore contract from NMDC for track refurbishment works

RVNL has received an LoA from NMDC for refurbishment and maintenance of railway tracks at its mining facilities in Chhattisgarh

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) for refurbishment and maintenance of railway tracks at its mining facilities in Chhattisgarh.

According to a regulatory filing to stock exchanges, RVNL has been awarded the contract for “Refurbishment of Permanent Way of NMDC Sidings and Mobile Equipment Tracks including maintenance at Kirandul and Bacheli in Chhattisgarh.”

The project is valued at Rs 95.27 crore, including GST, and will be executed over a period of 36 months, the company said.

According to RVNL, the refurbishment work is expected to improve the condition and operational reliability of railway sidings and equipment tracks used for mineral transportation at NMDC’s mining operations in Kirandul and Bacheli, which are key iron ore mining regions in Chhattisgarh.
