RVNL emerges as lowest bidder for Rs 164-crore East Coast Railway project

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on Wednesday said it has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a project awarded by East Coast Railway worth Rs 164.18 crore.

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the project involves provision of MSDAC systems to enhance reliability in the Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) section from MZY to KUR and at multiple stations under the Khurda Road division of East Coast Railway.

The scope of work also includes alterations in electronic interlocking systems of various signalling equipment manufacturers, including Hitachi Rail STS India Pvt Ltd, Medha Servo Drives and Siemens Rail Automation.

RVNL said the contract is domestic in nature and is to be executed within 18 months.

"The company further clarified that the order has been received in the normal course of business and does not fall under related party transactions," it further informed.
