RVNL emerges lowest bidder for West Central Railway project worth Rs 244.33 crore

New Delhi: Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) on Thursday said it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a project awarded by West Central Railway involving the upgradation of the electric traction system.

According to the company’s stock exchange filing, the project pertains to the design, modification, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 132kV/55kV Scott-connected Traction Sub Stations and switching posts with AT between the Itarsi and Shridham section of Jabalpur Division of West Central Railway.

The project is aimed at upgrading the electric traction system from 1x25 kV to 2x25 kV to support a 3,000 MT loading target.

RVNL said the total cost of the work is Rs 244.33 crore, including applicable taxes.

The company added that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and is to be executed within a period of 18 months.
