New Delhi: The second Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) conclave, being hosted in New Delhi from September 28, will focus on various areas, including large-scale international SAF capacity-building and technical programmes, and IATA's target of achieving Net Zero by 2050, according to a release.

Leading Indian and international airlines, airports, energy companies, technology developers, investors and financial institutions are expected to participate, creating opportunities for investment, technology partnerships, project matchmaking and global market access, according to the release.
"India has the opportunity to become a global SAF hub, but this will require an ecosystem - not just a mandate. At SAF Association, our focus is to bring government, industry, technology, finance and global partners together to turn India's SAF ambition into projects, investment and production. The India SAF Conclave is a key platform in that journey," said Rohit Kumar, Secretary General, SAF Association and CMAI. SAF Association is organising the conclave.

The two-day programme will feature ministerial sessions, technical conferences, capacity-building workshops, investor and buyer forums, leadership roundtables, B2B and B2G meetings, technology showcases, exhibitions, MoU signings, among others, the Association said.
As per global studies, India could produce around 40 million tonnes of SAF annually by 2050, about 10 per cent of global SAF production potential.
The two-day meet is expected to bring together over 1,000 delegates, 100-plus global speakers and stakeholders from over 25 countries.
