SCOPE and ICAI sign MoU to strengthen capacity building and knowledge exchange

New Delhi: In a significant move aimed at enhancing professional development and promoting excellence in corporate governance, the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration is poised to foster capacity building and facilitate meaningful knowledge exchange between the two institutions.

The MoU has been signed by the Director General of SCOPE and CA Prasanna Kumar D, Vice President of ICAI, in the presence of CA Rajesh Sharma, Vice Chairman, Committee for Members in Industry & Business (CMI&B), ICAI; Shri Lokesh Kumar Aggarwal, Member, Executive Board, SCOPE and Director (Finance), India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC); CA (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, Secretary, ICAI, along with other senior officials from both organisations.

This strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment towards policy advocacy, professional advancement, and thought leadership in the financial and corporate sectors. It aims to leverage the strengths of both organisations to empower professionals in the public sector through joint initiatives, training programmes, and exchange of best practices.

The collaboration between SCOPE, the apex body of Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs), and ICAI, a premier accounting body in India, is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning public sector practices with evolving global standards in corporate governance and financial management.
