They met with Roberto Suárez Santos, Secretary General of IOE, Geneva; Michiko Miyamoto, Director of ILO South Asia; and Ravindra Peiris, Senior Specialist at ILO. Senior representatives from both SCOPE and ILO were also present during the discussions.

The deliberations centred on collaborative efforts to enhance the capacities of Indian employers, with a special focus on micro-credentials, skill development, responsible business conduct, and ensuring a just transition in the evolving employment landscape. The interaction highlighted the need for regular engagement and knowledge exchange among the institutions to support public enterprises in adapting to global labour standards and emerging workplace challenges.

Both ILO and IOE extended their support to SCOPE in strengthening its member base and enhancing employer capabilities through sustained and structured engagement.

This strategic dialogue marks a significant milestone in SCOPE’s efforts to align Indian public sector enterprises with international best practices in employment and labour management.
