SECL issues posting orders to 302 mining sirdars

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has issued posting orders to 302 candidates who successfully cleared the Mining Sirdar recruitment examination

New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has issued posting orders to 302 candidates who successfully cleared the Mining Sirdar recruitment examination. These orders were released from SECL headquarters on March 19, 2025, and have been sent to the respective candidates.

Under the Coal Mines Regulations 2017, the Mining Sirdar is a statutory position that plays a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of mines. The responsibilities of a Mining Sirdar include ensuring compliance with mining laws, regulations, and orders, and promptly reporting any violations to senior officials.

SECL had issued a recruitment notification for 350 Mining Sirdar positions, for which over 8,000 applications were received. After completing the selection process, 302 successful candidates are now being appointed.

SECL remains committed to providing employment opportunities to the youth of the region. This recruitment drive will not only help secure jobs for local youth but also strengthen the safety and operations of the mining industry.
