The collaboration aims to enhance coal evacuation efficiency through dedicated rail logistics solutions to meet the growing demand from the power, steel, cement and other core sectors.
Under the agreement, the two organisations will jointly explore dedicated railway rake operations under GPWIS/equivalent schemes, multimodal logistics solutions, first-mile and last-mile connectivity, and deployment of digital systems for logistics monitoring and operational efficiency.
SECL said the partnership is part of its ongoing efforts, under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal, to strengthen coal evacuation infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted fuel supply across key sectors.
The MoU was signed in the presence of SECL's Chairman-cum-Managing Director Harish Duhan and Managing Director of CWC Santosh Sinha. Senior officials from both organisations were also present during the signing ceremony.
