New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) will host the three-day Coal India Medical Conference "CIMECON 2026" from February 28 to March 2 in Bilaspur, bringing together over 250 medical professionals from across the country.
The national-level conference will see participation from doctors representing Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries, along with experts from leading hospitals. The event is being organised under the aegis of SECL.
Themed “Healthy Mines, Healthy Nation,” the conference will focus on strengthening healthcare systems in mining regions, improving occupational health and safety standards, and promoting preventive healthcare for coalfield workers.
The programme will feature lectures by eminent medical experts on key issues such as occupational diseases, industrial health, emergency medical management, lifestyle disorders, mental health, and expansion of modern healthcare facilities in mining areas.
A key highlight of CIMECON 2026 will be the presentation of research papers by doctors from Coal India subsidiaries, showcasing innovations, field studies, and best practices aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery in mining regions.
The conference is expected to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across Coal India’s medical network, with the objective of improving healthcare services for employees and their families. SECL said hosting the event marks a significant step towards advancing healthcare standards in mining areas and reinforces its commitment to employee welfare.
