New Delhi: In a significant initiative aimed at strengthening leadership across India’s Public Sector Enterprises, SJVN Limited, in collaboration with the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), has launched a two-day Orientation Programme on “Capacity Building of CMDs and Functional Directors of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)” in Dharamshala.
The event was inaugurated by Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, former Chief Justice of the High Courts of Uttarakhand and Telangana. He was joined by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) of SJVN, Anil Khandelwal, former CMD of Bank of Baroda, and Kranti Kumar, Assistant Director at DPE. The programme has brought together 22 CMDs and Functional Directors from a range of CPSEs.
Welcoming the participants, Sharma emphasized the critical role of leadership in shaping the performance and transformation of CPSEs. He underlined the need for continuous learning, innovation, and strategic foresight in navigating the evolving economic and policy environment. Sharma also reaffirmed SJVN’s commitment to enhancing leadership capabilities and promoting collaborative efforts among public enterprises to advance national development.
The two-day event includes seven interactive sessions focusing on key leadership and operational topics. These sessions aim to provide a platform for dialogue, learning, and knowledge exchange among senior executives of CPSEs.
This orientation programme represents a joint effort by SJVN and DPE to reinforce the foundations of good governance, accountability, and performance-driven leadership within the public sector ecosystem.
