SJVN generates 8489 MU power in FY'24: CMD

New Delhi: SJVN Limited held its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the financial year 2023-24, where company's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sushil Sharma, highlighted the company’s significant achievements and future plans. SJVN recently attained the prestigious Navratna status on August 30, 2024.

Despite challenging hydrological conditions, SJVN generated 8489 MUs across its hydro, solar, and wind power stations. The company achieved record-breaking generation levels, with its NJHPS and Rampur HPS plants setting new daily and monthly records in July and August 2023.

For FY 2023-24, SJVN reported standalone revenue of Rs 2,533.59 crore and a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 908.40 crore. The company paid a dividend of Rs 1.80 per share, and its stock surged by 426% between April 2023 and February 2024, reaching an all-time high market capitalization of Rs 67,000 crore.

SJVN successfully commissioned several renewable energy projects and expanded its portfolio to 56,802 MW across 89 projects. It also launched India’s first Multi-Purpose Green Hydrogen Pilot Project. The company is now the fourth Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA) for the Indian Government and has signed power agreements totaling 3.82 GW.

Looking ahead, SJVN aims to increase its capacity to 25,000 MW by 2030 and 50,000 MW by 2040, with a focus on hydro and renewable energy projects.

Sharma expressed gratitude to shareholders and stakeholders, emphasizing that their continued support will drive the company’s future growth and its role in empowering India’s energy sector.
