New Delhi: Digital infrastructure company STL Networks has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for RailTel Corporation of India Ltd’s approximately Rs 250 crore integrated cloud infrastructure and data centre transformation project, the company said on Wednesday.
STL Networks, which operates under the Invenia brand, will undertake the end-to-end design, deployment and integration of cloud infrastructure across RailTel’s Data Centre (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) facilities in Gurugram and Secunderabad.

"STL Networks Limited has emerged as the L1 bidder for RailTel Corporation of India Limited for an approximately Rs 250 crore integrated cloud infrastructure & data centre transformation project," the company said in a statement.
Under the proposed order, STL Networks will build a secure, scalable and highly available multi-tenant private cloud environment across RailTel's DC and DR sites.
The project scope includes compute infrastructure, cloud management, software-defined networking, backup and storage, enterprise operating systems and databases, automation and near real-time replication between the DC and DR facilities.
The new infrastructure will also be integrated with RailTel's existing systems and support phased migration of current workloads. The project is scheduled to be commissioned within 180 days and will carry five years of comprehensive warranty support.
"This mandate brings together the full breadth of our deep technical expertise, robust execution capabilities, and leadership in deploying mission-critical data-centre and cloud-integration capabilities," Invenia-STL Networks Chief Executive Officer (Interim) Chandrasekhara Rao Battula said.

STL Networks said the project is aimed at modernising RailTel's underlying infrastructure to meet growing demand for secure, reliable and compliant government cloud services.
The infrastructure will be developed in line with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's Cloud Service Provider guidelines, the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and Make in India local-content requirements.
RailTel, a Navratna public-sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, is a major provider of telecom, digital and ICT infrastructure and has been expanding its presence in data centre and cloud-based services.
