NHSRCL wants you to name and design a mascot for India’s first bullet train

NHSRCL has invited entries for the naming and designing of the mascot for the project to be submitted by March 25

New Delhi:  Cash prizes are up for grabs as the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) announced a nationwide competition to name the country's first bullet train, which will connect Mumbai to Ahmedabad. There will also be prizes on offer for the best mascot designs for the bullet train project. NHSRCL, which is implementing this project, has invited entries for the name and designing of mascot for the project to be submitted by March 25. The bullet train is likely to become operational by 2022.

Criteria for the competition

The mascot for the bullet train should be a well-designed character, which will characterize the value system of the corporation other than being able to communicate effectively, an NHSRCL statement said. The release added that with its own name, it will be provided with an identity to help people establish a connect with the bullet train. Interested contestants should submit their entries on mygov.in and can look for more details by logging onto the website. The name, as well as the mascot of the bullet train, will be shortlisted through a nominating committee. Moreover, the winners will be awarded prize money along with a certificate confirming their participation in the online competition. Also, there will be five consolation prizes in each category of the competition.
