NTPC Kaniha commemorates 78th Independence Day with patriotic fervour

New Delhi: With immense patriotic fervor and pride, NTPC Talcher Kaniha celebrated the 78th Independence Day, marking the occasion with a series of solemn and joyous events.

The ceremony commenced with the Chief Guest, Ashok Kumar Sehgal, hoisting the national flag in a moment of profound respect and reverence. This was followed by an exchange of salutes with CISF personnel, underscoring the strong sense of patriotism that pervaded the event.

In his address, Sehgal paid tribute to the nation's brave freedom fighters, reflecting on their sacrifices and the enduring spirit of independence. He emphasized NTPC's ongoing commitment to supporting nation-building efforts through the provision of affordable and reliable power.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony, recognizing and applauding the outstanding performance and dedicated efforts of employees across multiple domains.

In addition, On the 78th Independence Day, NTPC Kaniha distributed to a total of 52 students the prestigious "NTPC Utkarsh Merit Scholarship" to class X, XII, B. Tech, and MBBS students to encourage deserving and brilliant students from the economically weaker and marginalized section of the local society belonging to the project affected villages of NTPC Kaniha.
