REC sweeps 29th Inter-CPSU Badminton Tournament with Gold in all categories

REC clinched Gold medals in all three categories – Team Event, Singles, and Doubles – marking the third time the organization has accomplished this remarkable achievement

New Delhi: REC Limited has achieved a historic feat by sweeping the 29th Inter-CPSU Badminton Tournament organized under the aegis of the Power Sports Control Board (PSCB), Ministry of Power, and hosted by NTPC Ltd from December 4 to December 7 at Noida Stadium. REC clinched Gold medals in all three categories – Team Event, Singles, and Doubles – marking the third time the organization has accomplished this remarkable achievement.

In a gripping Singles Final, REC's Amit Verma emerged victorious after a thrilling three-set match against fellow REC player Vijay Behra, who secured the Silver Medal. Amit Verma’s victory in the Singles was complemented by his performance in the Doubles category, where he teamed up with Vijay Behra to win Gold.

The results are as follows:

Team Event: Gold Medal – REC Limited

Singles:

Gold – Amit Verma – Officer (Law), REC Limited

Silver – Vijay Behra – CM (Engg.), REC Limited

Doubles:

Gold – Amit Verma and Vijay Behra - REC Limited

Along with Vijay Behra and Amit Verma, Aseem Gupta, Manager (Engg.), Kundan Lal, Manager (Engg.), Trivendra Kumar, Officer (Law), Trivendra Kumar, Officer (Engg.), Shadab Usmani, Officer (Engg.), Shikha Ujjain, Deputy Manager (F&A) also took part in this event.
