This is one of the most original videos after India-China standoff which has received such a massive response by social media in general, also celebrities.
Sonam Wangchuk, an engineer, innovator and education reformist makes an emotional appeal to Indians to boycott everything that has 'Made in China' stamp over it. He said "within a week I will remove all Chinese apps from my mobile phone, also I will get rid of this phone within a week, which is made by Chinese mobile company. Within a year I will get rid of everything in my life that is made in China".
Adding that this boycott of Chinese goods should be turned into a people's movement against China's increasing aggression he said "We do not have any problem with Chinese people but We do have problem with Chinese government's attitude and until that changes, this boycott should continue". The award-winning reformist added that China is doing this all not just at the LAC but also in the South China Sea in order to distract Chinese people from failures of Xi Jinping's administration.
"On one hand, our soldiers are fighting them and on the other hand, we buy Chinese hardware and use software like the TikTok app, we give them business worth crores so they can arm their soldiers to fight against us," Wangchuk said in the video. He said Prime Minister Modi has rooted for 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make in India', how would that be possible if we do not give priority to indigenous goods in our lives?
Within 24 hours of Sonam's video of boycott Chinese goods, the supermodel turned actor announced on Twitter that he has deleted his TikTok account. "I am no longer on TikTok #BoycottChineseProducts," Milind Soman announced in his tweet. He also shared a short clip from Sonam Wangchuk's original video.
"#BoycottMadeInChina #SoftwareInAWeekHardwareInAYear to stop Chinese bullying in Ladakh & eventually to liberate the 1.4 Bn bonded labourers in China, as also the 10 Mn Uighur Muslims & 6 Mn Tibetan Buddhists," Wangchuk wrote on his Twitter handle attaching the youtube link of his video.
