New Delhi: Mahesh Kumar Sharma is the new Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sharma for NHPC’s Director (Finance) post on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manger (Finance) in the same organisation.
Sharma was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on July 15. He was selected for the post from a pool of 13 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel.
Sharma will take over charge of the post of Director (Finance) of NHPC Limited from Sipan Kumar Garg, Director (Finance) of THDC Limited. Garg has been holding the additional charge of NHPC's Director (Finance) post since September 1.
