Ajay Kumar Sharma set to be next Director (Personnel) of SJVN

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Ajay Kumar Sharma for the post of Director (Personnel) of SJVN Limited on Friday

New Delhi: Ajay Kumar Sharma is set to be next Director (Personnel) of SJVN Limited, a Shimla-based PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

The position of Director (Personnel) at SJVN became vacant on April 30 following the retirement of Geeta Kapur. In the interim, Sushil Sharma, who serves as SJVN's Director (Projects), has taken over the additional responsibilities of the role.

Sharma has been recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of SJVN Limited from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB Selection Panel in its selection meeting held on May 24. Out of 11 candidates, four candidates were from NTPC Limited, three candidates from SJVN Limited and one each from REC Limited, SAIL, Indian Railways and HPSEBL.

As Director (Personnel) of SJVN, Sharma will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall incharge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
