Ajay Singh Yadav assumes charge as Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Kaniha

Ajay Singh Yadav has taken charge as Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Limited’s Talcher Kaniha power station

New Delhi: Ajay Singh Yadav has taken charge as Head of Project (HOP) at NTPC Limited’s Talcher Kaniha power station, one of the largest generating units of the state-run power major.

Yadav brings over 36 years of experience within NTPC, having begun his career as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical stream in September 1989.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jiwaji University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Management Development Institute.

Over the course of his career, Yadav has worked across a wide range of technical and managerial functions, including fuel handling, operations and maintenance, project management and corporate planning. He has served at several key NTPC stations such as Korba, Anta, Khargone and Tanda, in addition to assignments at the company’s corporate centre in New Delhi. He has also held the position of Head of Project at Talaipalli Coal Mining project.

Known for his focus on safety, operational efficiency and strategic planning, Yadav has participated in multiple in-house and external training programmes covering leadership, risk management and safety systems.
