Ajitkumar V Sontakke (IOFS) has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Nuclear Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ajitkumar Vasantrao Sontakke (IOFS) as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Nuclear Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt of India, on Friday.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on May 10, Sontakke has been appointed as CVO of NPCIL on 'lateral shift' basis for a period upto May 20, 2027, (i.e. maximum admissible tenure of seven years away from the cadre at a stretch), from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders.

Sontakke is an Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS) officer of 2009 batch. He is presently posted as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
