Amitabh Tripathi set to be next Director (Commercial & HRD) of WAPCOS

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Amitabh Tripathi for the post of Director (Commercial & HRD) of WAPCOS Limited on Wednesday

New Delhi: Amitabh Tripathi is set to be next Director (Commercial & HRD) of WAPCOS Limited. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Senior Executive Director (Head of Centre for Hydropower) of the organisation.

Tripathi has been recommended for the post of Director (Commercial & HRD) of WAPCOS Limited from a list of 11 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on August 28. Out of 11 candidates, six candidates were from WAPCOS and one each from NPCC, Engineers India Limited (EIL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL) and NTPC Limited.

As Director (Commercial & HRD) of WAPCOS, Tripathi will be member of Board of Directors and will report to CMD. He will be responsible for the entire commercial operations of the company. He will carry out contract negotiations, make technical presentations and develop client relationship. He will be also overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
