In this capacity, he played a pivotal role in formulating key policies, schemes, and initiatives while actively pursuing policy interventions in the coal and energy sectors. His contributions have been instrumental in driving reforms and innovation within these critical industries. A Graduate Mining Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Prasad obtained his First Class Coal Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency in 1994. He brings with him nearly 35 years of professional experience in the coal and energy sectors, complemented by postgraduate diplomas in Management and Computer Applications.
