Anil Kumar Singh takes over as Director (Commercial) of NALCO

Anil Kumar Singh has assumed charge as Director (Commercial) of NALCO on Wednesday

New Delhi: Anil Kumar Singh has assumed charge as Director (Commercial) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, with effect from Wednesday, the company said in a statement.

Prior to his appointment at NALCO, Singh was serving as General Manager (Materials & Contracts) and In-charge (Human Resources) at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Mines.

With a professional career spanning over 35 years, Singh brings extensive experience in the commercial functions of the metals and mining sector. He is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from BIT Sindri (1990) and holds additional qualifications including GDMM, MBA (Materials Management) and PGDCA. He began his career in the Materials Management Division at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Visakhapatnam.

During his tenure at HCL, Singh played a key role in advancing the company’s expansion plans. His responsibilities included product marketing, policy formulation, strategic planning, handling major materials, services and works contracts, as well as storage, handling and quality control of copper concentrate.

Singh has held several key positions at both RINL and HCL, gaining a unique blend of experience in materials management, marketing, contracting and frontline operations. His professional expertise also covers finalisation of major Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) contracts, procurement through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), achieving MSME procurement targets, and policy implementation in line with Government of India guidelines.

Congratulating Singh on assuming charge, NALCO Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Brijendra Pratap Singh expressed confidence that his extensive experience would further strengthen the company’s commercial operations. He added that Singh’s induction has further reinforced the Board of Directors of NALCO.
