Anurag Sharma set to be new Director (Onshore) of ONGC

Anurag Sharma, who is currently serving as Executive Director, has been recommended for the post of new Director (Onshore) of ONGC

New Delhi: Anurag Sharma is set to be new Director (Onshore) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a Maharatna PSU under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Sharma's name has been recommended by a PESB panel on Thursday. He is currently serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Sharma has been selected for the post of Director (Onshore) of ONGC from the list of eight candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. A total of six candidates including Sharma were from ONGC and others were from Engineers India Limited (EIL) and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).

Sharma's education & background

Sharma is Mechanical Engineering graduate from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He had also completed an MBA from the University of Delhi. He possesses rich and diverse experience of working with the oil and energy industry. He also has strong operations skills in Petroleum, Gas, downstream Oil and Gas, Engineering and Engineering Procurement Construction.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is an Indian multinational crude oil and gas corporation. Its registered office is in New Delhi. It is a state-owned enterprise of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
