Arvindar Singh Sahney set to be next Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Arvindar Singh Sahney for the post of Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil on Tuesday

New Delhi: Arvindar Singh Sahney is set to be next Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Business Development - Petrochemicals) in the same organisation.

Sahney has been recommended for the post of Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil from a list of 12 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 20. Out of 12 candidates, six candidates were from Indian Oil, two from HPCL, two from GAIL and one each from Indraprastha Gas Limited and ONGC Petroadditions Ltd (Opal).

As Director (Planning & Business Development) of Indian Oil, Sahney will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman. He will contribute to the formulation of corporate plans, policies, and strategies, both short and long term, towards attaining the business objectives of the Corporation. He is the Head of the business development wing of the company and is responsible for the overall performance of the business development function.
