Asheesh Kumar set to be next Director (Business Development) of Coal India

The PESB Panel has recommended the name of Asheesh Kumar for the post of Director (Business Development) of Coal India Limited

New Delhi: Asheesh Kumar is set to be next Director (Business Development) of Coal India Limited (CIL), a PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) Panel on Saturday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager OSD in the same organisation.

Kumar has been recommended for the post of Director (Business Development) of Coal India from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 17. Out of 10 candidates, four candidates were from Coal India Limited, two candidates from Indian Oil, and one each from NCL, SECL, MCL, BSNL, Indian Railways and Indian Ordnance Factories Service.

As Director (Business Development) of Coal India, Kumar will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities for the company. This includes expanding market reach, exploring new product lines, and establishing strategic alliances.
