BHEL appoints SM Ramanathan as Director (Engineering, R&D)

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the appointment of SM Ramanathan as Director (Engineering, Research & Development)

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the appointment of SM Ramanathan as Director (Engineering, Research & Development). The appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC), as per an official communication dated April 30.

Ramanathan, who currently serves as Executive Director at BHEL, will assume charge of the post with effect from the date of taking over the post. His tenure will continue till his superannuation on January 31, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Ramanathan is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from IIT-Madras. He also holds Master's degree in Stress and Vibration Analysis from Engineering College (Now National Institute of Technology), Bhopal. He has over 35 years of diverse experience in various capacities in BHEL.
