Chennai Metro’s PK Acharaya set to be Director (Finance) of NLC India Ltd

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Prasanna Kumar Acharya for the post of Director (Finance) of NLC India Limited on Wednesday

New Delhi: Prasanna Kumar Acharya is set to be the next Director (Finance) of NLC India Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Wednesday. Presently, he is serving as Presently, he is serving as Director (Finance) in Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL).

Acharya has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of NLC India Limited from a list of 10 candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel, in a selection meeting held on September 13. Out of 10 candidates, five candidates were from NCL India Limited and one each from NTPC Limited, National Seeds Corporation (NSC), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Maharastra State Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd. and CMRL.

Acharya is a Post Graduate in Commerce and a qualified Management Accountant (ICMA), Company Secretary (ACS), Legal Professional (LL. B), Masters in Business Administration and Doctorate (Ph. D) in Commerce. He has a total work experience of about 27 years. Prior to joing CMRL, he has experience in serving Navaratna Public Sector Undertakings viz., NTPC Limited, NCL India Ltd, Grid Corporation of Odisha (a State PSU) and Tata Power Company Ltd.
