Debi Prasad Satpathy set to be the new Director (HR) of BEML

PESB has recommended the name of BEML's Executive Director (HR) Debi Prasad Satpathy as its new Director (HR)

New Delhi: A Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Debi Prasad Satpathy for the post of BEML's new Director-HR. Satpathy is working with BEML only as the Executive Director (HR).

"BEML Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Shri Debi Prasad Satpathy as the Director (HR), following his selection by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel", the defence PSU said in a statement released on Tuesday.

Satpathy brings over 30 years of experience in the field of Human Resource and Development in both Central and State Government sectors. He began his illustrious career as an Executive Trainee at the Nagaon Paper Mill of Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd in Assam.

Over the years, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and proficiency, progressing to the role of Manager HR within 15 years.

In 2011, Satpathy joined BEML Limited, Bangalore, to head the Industrial Relation and Recruitment Department and subsequently led the personnel department of BEML’s rail coach unit at the Bangalore Complex, where his active contributions included the introduction of SAP HCM modules and the development of tailor-made IT modules for HR processes.

He has played a pivotal role in negotiating pay revisions and various long-term settlements with unions. He has also been actively involved in formalizing Government of India initiatives such as CSR, Swachh Bharat, and Skill India. Shri Satpathy holds a B.Sc (Honors) and an MA in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management from Berhampur University, reflecting his strong academic background in the field.
