Dr Tapas Kumar Pattanayak takes over as Director (HR) of NALCO

Dr Tapas Kumar Pattanayak has assumed the charge of Director (Human Resources) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) on Thursday

New Delhi: Dr Tapas Kumar Pattanayak has assumed the charge of Director (Human Resources) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) on Thursday. Prior to the present assignment, Dr Pattanayak was serving in the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd as Executive Director (HR) at the Refineries Division Head Office at Delhi.

With a distinguished career spanning over 33 years in the field of Human Resources & Industrial Relations, Dr Tapas Kumar Pattanayak brings with him a wealth of experience in organizational development, employee engagement, talent acquisition, Industrial Relations, learning & development and HR strategy. Dr Pattanayak has rich experience in mining, refinery, oil and gas sectors. An alumnus of Utkal University, Dr. Pattanayak has Masters and PhD in the area of Personnel Management & Industrial Relations and also holds a degree in Law.

Dr Pattanayak has been keen in implementing innovative HR practices that aligns with organisational goals. At NALCO Dr Pattanayak will be overseeing all human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee development, organisational effectiveness, and ensuring that NALCO’s HR practices continue to support the company’s vision and long-term objectives.

Ministry of Mines' Additional Secretary and CMD of NALCO Sanjay Lohiya (IAS) congratulated Dr Pattanayak for assuming the role of Director (HR), and expressed hope that his strategic focus on innovation will enhance the organization's reputation as a great place to work, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture across the organisation. With his joining as Director (HR), NALCO’s Board of Directors has been further strengthened, he said.
