Finmin appoints Smita Srivastava as General Manager & Director on board of New India Assurance Company Ltd

Ministry of Finance has appointed Smita Srivastava as General Manager and Director on the board of the New India Assurance Company Limited with effect from Monday

New Delhi: State-owned New India Assurance Company Limited said in a regulatory filing that the Ministry of Finance has appointed Smita Srivastava as General Manager and Director on the board of the insurance company with effect from Monday.

Further, the filing noted that Srivastava is not related to any directors of the board and she is not "debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order of SEBI or any other such authority."

Brief profile

Smita Srivastava served as the MD and CEO of Health Insurance TPA of India Limited. She is a Graduate and AIII from Insurance Institute of India and is having more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
