Gopa Swain going to be next Director (HR) of EIL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Gopa Swain for the post of Director (HR) of Engineers India Limited (EIL)

New Delhi: Gopa Swain is set to be next Director (HR) of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a NavRatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). She has been recommended for the position by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, she is serving as Chief General Manager (HR) in the same organisation.

The Director (HR) post in EIL is set to fall vacant on October 1, 2023. Presently, AK Kalra is serving as Director (HR) of EIL.

Swain has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of EIL from a list of eight candidates who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on June 23. Out of eight candidates, six candidates were from EIL and each from NBCC (India) Limited and Indian Statistical Service.

As Director (HR) of EIL, Swain will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of evolving/formulating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, general management functions & administrative control in the organisation.
