Govt appoints Mamta Palariya as Independent Director on NCL Board

The Govt has appointed Mamta Palariya as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL)

New Delhi: The Ministry of Coal has appointed Mamta Palariya as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of state-run Coal India Limited (CIL).

According to a regulatory filing by Coal India, Palariya’s appointment is effective from the date of notification issued on August 25, 2025, and will remain valid until March 27, 2026, which marks the end of her tenure as a Non-Official Director on the Board of Coal India Limited, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Northern Coalfields Limited, headquartered in Singrauli (Madhya Pradesh), is one of the largest coal producing subsidiaries of Coal India Limited, contributing significantly to the country’s energy sector and power generation.
