Govt extends additional charge of GAIL Director (Projects) held by CMD Deepak Gupta

The Govt has approved the extension of additional charge of the post of Director (Projects) of GAIL, held by its CMD Deepak Gupta

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited on Wednesday said that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG) has approved the extension of additional charge of the post of Director (Projects) held by Deepak Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company.

According to the company, the ministry, through its letter dated May 27, 2026, has approved the extension for a further period of six months with effect from June 1, 2026, or until the assumption of charge by a regular incumbent, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Deepak Gupta is currently serving as Chairman & Managing Director of GAIL and has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director (Projects) in the interim period.
