Govt extends tenure of CSL CMD Madhu Sankunny Nair

The Govt has approved the extension of tenure of Madhu Sankunny Nair as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) till January 31, 2026

New Delhi: The Government has approved the extension of tenure of Madhu Sankunny Nair as Chairman and Managing Director of Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) till January 31, 2026, the company said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

The approval has been granted by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) under the Department of Personnel and Training, following a communication from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

Nair was first appointed as CMD of Cochin Shipyard for a five-year term from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2020. His tenure was subsequently extended for another five years from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2025, and has now been extended till the date of his superannuation.
