Govt nominates 2 Govt Nominee Directors on OIL board

New Delhi: Petroleum Ministry has nominated the names of Rohit Mathur and George Thomas as the Government Nomination Directors on the Board of Oil India Limited (OIL) on Saturday. This information has been shared by OIL in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Saturday.

Presently, Mathur is serving as Joint Secretary and Thomas is serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

"We would like to submit that the company is taking necessary actions to complete the appointment formalities and requisite disclosures in this regard will be submitted in due course," it further added.

OIL is a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum.
