Gowri Sankara Rao Naramsetti assumes additional charge as CMD of MIDHANI

Govt has entrusted MIDHANI's Director (Finance) Gowri Sankara Rao Naramsetti with the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company

New Delhi: The Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production, has entrusted Gowri Sankara Rao Naramsetti, Director (Finance) & CFO of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), with the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of the company. This appointment is effective from January 1, 2025, and will initially be for a period of three months, or until a regular incumbent is appointed, or further orders are issued, whichever is earliest.

Naramsetti is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with an illustrious career spanning over 35 years. He joined MIDHANI in 2020 as Director (Finance), bringing with him extensive expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and corporate governance. He holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from Andhra University. He has been associated with Vizag Steel Plant as General Manager from 1991 and Hyderabad Cylinders Pvt. Ltd as Finance Manager from 1989 – 1991.

MIDHANI, a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, specializes in the manufacture of special steels and superalloys and is a critical player in India's defence production ecosystem.
