New Delhi: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the appointment of Manoj Kumar Sharma as Director (Catering Services) with additional charge, effective from August 1. The decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors, as per a regulatory filing.
Sharma, who is currently serving as Officer on Special Duty (Corporate Services) at IRCTC, will assume the responsibilities of Director (Catering Services) in addition to his existing role. He is an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1995 batch and has been associated with IRCTC since March 2024 as Group General Manager of the North Zone.

His areas of expertise span marketing, business development, operations, transportation, planning, vigilance, safety, IT, and project development.
The company has confirmed that Sharma is not related to any existing Director or Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) and does not hold any equity shares in IRCTC. Furthermore, he is not debarred from holding the office of Director by SEBI or any other authority.
IRCTC’s updated Board of Directors now comprises Sanjay Kumar Jain (Chairman & Managing Director); Sudhir Kumar (Director, Finance – Additional Charge), Manoj Kumar Sharma (Director, Catering Services – Additional Charge), Rahul Himalian (Director, Tourism & Marketing), two Government Nominee Directors, and three Independent Directors.
