IREDA’s Bijay Kumar Mohanty gets 6 months extension as Director (Projects)

The ACC has extended the services of Bijay Kumar Mohanty as Director (Projects) of IREDA for further period of six months

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency’s (IREDA) Director (Finance) Bijay Kumar Mohanty, who is also holding the additional charge as Director (Projects), has been given a tenure extension on his addition charge.

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has conveyed the approval of the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for extension of Mohanty’s services as Director (Projects) of IREDA for a further period of six months with effect from September 5 or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.

Mohanty is a distinguished senior finance professional with an illustrious career in the Indian power sector spanning over 25 years. His expertise encompasses Financial Management, Corporate Governance & Compliance, Risk Management, Project Management and Legal Functions. Shri Mohanty's played significant roles at GRIDCO and CESCO Distribution Company, where he honed his expertise across the entire power sector value chain.

He holds degrees in M.Com, M.Phil, MA (Public Administration) and LL.B, in addition to a postgraduate diploma in Management. He is a distinguished fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India and holds a Ph.D. in Commerce from KIIT, Bhubaneswar.
